It’s party time again in The West Blake…
On Tuesday 9 September, accompanied by some bubbly, confetti and the installation of a site board, Rotterdam alderman Chantal Zeegers joined future residents, developer Spacetolive and contractors BIK bouw and Giesbers Bouwen en Renoveren to celebrate the start of construction of The West Blake. The redevelopment consists of 98 turnkey apartments at Westblaak 32 in Rotterdam.
The West Blake is a redevelopment of the impressive post-war complex on the corner of Westblaak and Hartmansstraat. Rotterdam-based V8 Architects designed smart floor plans, a new section to the rear and a glazed extension on the roof. The renovated building will have 98 apartments from 40 to 78 m2 and three commercial units on the ground floor, where the existing shops and a pharmacy will remain. More than 90% of the apartments have already been sold. Atta Makelaars is responsible for the sale of the apartments, which are expected to be delivered at the end of 2026.
